Monfort signs an agreement with the Diocesan Caritas of Segorbe-Castellón to collaborate on its “Well-being” mental health project.

It is well known that Caritas’ work is centered in contexts of vulnerability and social exclusion, where people experience prolonged suffering caused by unjust structures and systems, social isolation, violence, unemployment, loneliness, homelessness, and economic hardship.

From a comprehensive approach, a rights-based perspective is essential, and in this specific area, the right to biopsychosocial health. This is why the Diocesan Caritas has launched the “Well-being” Project. Psychological and social intervention is a process oriented toward change, in which various forms of support and care become meaningful as means to activate a person’s potential.

At Cáritas, this change is focused on ensuring the full integration of individuals into their social environment, and, aware of this, the Castellón-based company Transportes Monfort has decided to collaborate on the “Well-being” Project, working towards social excellence and participating in a joint effort that will allow them to engage, through their Corporate Social Responsibility, in a commitment to social change.

In its more than 90 years of service to national and international road transport, Monfort has demonstrated its responsibility to its area of influence by collaborating in various social actions and disasters, as demonstrated during the Valencian National Emergency Response Plan (DANA), the COVID-19 crisis, and the Amatrice earthquake, cases in which it transported collected materials free of charge as aid for those affected. This project is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, sponsoring various social and cultural initiatives.
