Transportes Monfort y Transportes Belda colaboran nuevamente con el XXIII FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE JAZZ DE PEÑISCOLA 2026 (Jazz 6 EN)

Transportes Monfort and Transportes Belda are once again collaborating with the 23rd Peñíscola International Jazz Festival 2026.

The Peñíscola International Jazz Festival celebrates its 23rd edition from July 2nd to 5th with a program that combines major international names in the genre, such as Michel Camilo and Thomas Enhco, with local acts and free concerts in the town.

The event will once again feature eight concerts: four main performances at the Peñíscola Congress Palace and four free concerts in the Plaza de Santa María.

The festival begins on Thursday, July 2nd, at 7:30 p.m. in Plaça de Santa María, with a free performance by Albert Bello & Oriol Saña, a quartet offering a repertoire inspired by the music of early 20th-century Barcelona.

That same day, at 10:30 p.m., the Palau de Congressos hosts the first major concert of the festival, featuring pianist and composer Michel Camilo. The musician will present a performance that blends contemporary jazz, the rhythmic energy of the Caribbean, and a highly intense piano technique.

The program continues on Friday, July 3rd, at 7:30 p.m., with Tuscan trumpeter and composer Franco Baggiani, who will perform in Plaça de Santa María with free admission. His program, in a quartet format, is dedicated to the electric period of Miles Davis.

At 10:30 p.m., the Palau de Congressos welcomes The International Classic Jazz All Stars, a group comprised of leading musicians from the international classic jazz scene, characterized by their cosmopolitan profile and high level of performance.

On Saturday, July 4, at 7:30 p.m., Sergio Bisbal & BS Community Band will perform in Plaza de Santa María. Led by drummer Sergio Bisbal, the group combines traditional jazz with touches of soul, funk, and free improvisation.

Later that evening, at 10:30 p.m., the Jove Big Band Sedajazz, a group of 23 young musicians from the Sedajazz collective, will take to the Palau de Congressos.

The final day of the festival, Sunday, July 5, begins at 7:30 p.m. with a free performance by the Ernie Orts Jazz Quartet in Plaza de Santa María. The saxophonist returns to jazz with a stable band and a repertoire that combines original compositions, reinterpretations of standards, and pieces rooted in the traditions of jazz and bossa nova.

The closing of this 23rd edition will take place at 10:30 p.m. at the Palau de Congressos with French pianist Thomas Enhco, one of the most prominent international acts on the program, who will present a concert built on the dialogue between jazz and classical music.

Transportes Monfort, with over 90 years of experience in national and international road transport, is a prime example of professional service, flexibility, innovation, and respect for the environment. It also demonstrates a commitment to the region, promoting Castellón’s presence on the map with prestigious cultural events such as the Peñíscola International Jazz Festival, which it has supported since its inception.
