Transportes Monfort is the Company of the Year 2014 in the province of Castellón. This veteran company with more than 80 years of history headquartered in Castellón, won the votes of the panel of experts from a group of 14 finalists in the annually held awards promoted by the Mediterranean newspaper, presented on Thursday the 7th of May at the “Auditori i Palau de Congressos de Castelló”.

The gala, sponsored by Telefónica, brought together 400 personalities from the world of Economy, Business, Culture and Politics of Valencia. The event was presided over by Alberto Fabra, president of the Generality, who presented the award to Mr. Manuel Monfort Tena, president of Transportes Monfort.

In the words of Mr. Monfort the award “is a stimulus to continue our work, which is no less than keeping up with new challenges and continuous improvement”, while he shared such an important recognition “with all men and women who have contributed their work to ensure the growth and development of Transportes Monfort throughout its 80 years history”, not forgetting its customers, to whom he “thanked their long term loyalty”.


Mr. Manuel Monfort also said that Transportes Monfort – while maintaining their status as a family business – will continue their commitment to quality and innovation “to consolidate it as a faithful ally in the expansion and internationalization of the economic sectors of the province of Castellón”.

Transportes Monfort is located in Castellón and Benicarló, right in the Mediterranean corridor, and is today one of the main Spanish companies of international transport of goods by road. With a history of nearly a century, the fourth family generation, with more than 100 professionals, working to meet the current and future transportation needs in a globalized environment. These credentials have made Transportes Monfort, Company of the Year by the Mediterranean newspaper.
The event – sponsored by Telefónica – was attended by over 400 guests, among whom was the president of the Valencian Generality, Alberto Fabra, several councillors, mayors of the province, spokesmen of the main business organizations and banks, representatives of the cultural and civil society of Castellón and, of course, renowned entrepreneurs and emerging entrepreneurs who were the stars of the night.
